Sonic Frontiers DLC set to expand the blue blur’s brave new world

Sonic's latest adventure continues to race on as SEGA confirms that plenty more Sonic Frontiers DLC is on the cards for the future of the game

Sonic DLC - Sonic sliding on rails

The blue blur has hit the ground running and is making the most of his recent time in the spotlight with the promise of plentiful Sonic Frontiers DLC. We’ve already received the Sonic Adventure 2 shoes and an exciting Sonic Frontiers Monster Hunter collaboration, but you Frontier fans should be pleased to know that this is only the beginning.

A recent quote from SEGA PR highlights that SEGA is ‘happy to announce that it plans on supporting Sonic Frontiers with multiple content updates that will be free to all users, starting with the Monster Hunter Collaboration Pack and extending into next year’.

This means that the future of Sonic Frontiers races straight through to 2023, and we should be seeing plenty more exciting experiences and creative cosmetics before we spin-dash into Sonic’s next adventure, whatever that may be.

When is the next Sonic Frontiers DLC?

The most recent DLC is the Sonic Frontiers Monster Hunter collaboration pack, as mentioned above. This allows you to dress Sonic up in Rathalos and Felyne Rathalos outfits, or crack out the hunter’s BBQ set at a fishing point and whip up a perfect steak.

Of course, if you want to flip that upside-down, you can still complete the Sonic event quest in Monster Hunter Rise, which has you racing around on your palamute to collect rings in exchange for the Felyne Sonic layered armour.

Beyond that, we’re not sure what’s in store for the next Sonic Frontiers DLC, but we’ll be sure to update this page as soon as we find out more.
