With Splatoon 3 right around the corner, the Splatoon community is revving up for a brand new game to sink hundreds of hours into. One of the key aspects of the game has always been its creativity, not just in terms of gameplay, but also in other elements like music and fashion.
This unbridled joy in creativity has led many to create stuff themselves. I wrote about how excited I am about the Splatoon 3 soundtrack. Nat Clayton did a great article on Splatoon’s social creativity, too. And, best of all, with the recent announcement of the new Splatoon 3 idols, there’s some gorgeous new Splatoon fanart.
Reddit user pedrobrv recently shared some artwork of all the idols from the Splatoon games all hanging out together. There’s Callie and Marie, also known as the Squid Sisters, there’s Marina and Pearl from Off the Hook, and then the newbies, Shiver, Frye, and Big Man from the new band Deep Cut. Best of all, the big manta ray fella Big Man is the pride of place smack dab in the middle.
