State of Survival plasma upgrades

Once you get your HQ to level 30, you unlock plasma levels for buildings, which in turn give you access to plasma troops. Buildings and troops with higher plasma levels are, of course, more powerful – in fact, plasma troops are considered the strongest in the game. Upgrading the plasma level of your building costs you plasma cores, and higher level upgrades require a higher number of plasma cores.

Upgrading the plasma level of different buildings unlocks handy effects – for example, if you increase the HQ plasma level, your march capacity increases (and gets a snazzy new look). You can check the interface of each building to see what effects upgrading the plasma level has. Every plasma level has five sub-levels, and the building’s plasma level only increases when all five have been achieved. Each sub-level has its own upgrade effects and benefits.

There are currently five buildings that you can upgrade through plasma levels. These are:

  • Headquarters
  • Hero Precinct
  • Barracks
  • Range
  • Garage

You need to prioritise your headquarters before anything else, as you won’t be able to upgrade the plasma levels of your other buildings until it has reached the star level you’re trying to obtain. So, if you want to upgrade all of your buildings to plasma level one, you have to get your headquarters there first.

How do I get State of Survival plasma cores?

You can purchase plasma cores in-game using real money. You can also get them through daily mission reward crates, events, or by redeeming codes. Head over to our State of Survival codes list to see if you can snag any for free today.

Aside from the above, the best way to get plasma cores is through intel missions. When you’ve got your headquarters up to level 30 or higher, you’ll be able to access special infected intel missions, which reward you one or two plasma cores each time. You can get roughly 12 to 16 plasma cores a day through these missions, without having to spend a dime. Unfortunately, that’s a bit of a far cry from the stacks required to upgrade all of your buildings to the top plasma level, but with some hard work and patience, you’ll get there.

Plasma cores can also be used to research plasma technology, upgrade the institute of plasma to get better stats, and unlock tier XI troops.
