Of all the new characters in Hyrule, Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom’s Addison seems to be capturing hearts and minds across the internet, with his endless quest to support – literally and figuratively – President Hudson. So, sorry Beedle, it looks like there’s a new hot NPC in town.
If you don’t know, Addison is a new Zelda: TotK NPC you meet sporadically around the map as he holds his sign promoting President Hudson in place. The thing is, Addison isn’t very good at his job. Still, we know the internet loves a sympathetic character, and Reddit, Twitter, and the team here at Pocket Tactics are already declaring their adoration for President Hudson’s number-one man.
With Twitter posts reading ‘So we all agree that Addison is the new best Zelda NPC, right?’ and ‘I’m not seeing nearly enough Addison love on my timeline. Addison is the best new Zelda side character since Beedle and I’ll not hear otherwise’ it’s clear just how much Addison is connecting with people on their journey across Hyrule. Sure, we’re not exactly why, as he can’t even do the job at hand without Link’s help, but hey, you’ve got to admire the enthusiasm.
Still, not everyone is eager to help out Addison with his sign-posting problem. One Reddit user has made a jail for Addison, keeping him confined between an ultrahand contraption with no way out. There is a sense of balance, though, with another Twitter user creating a shelter for the President Hudson superfan so he can continue to promote without getting sopping wet. Still, at least we’re treating him better than the koroks. Those poor, poor koroks.
