Roguelike fans, rejoice! A Dead Cells animated series is on the way, and you can now check out a tasty teaser to build up your hype for the eventual release. While the teaser doesn’t give us too much detail, more a glimpse at the world of Dead Cells, there is a tentative date for this pick on our list of the best roguelike games to arrive in serialized form, and we already can’t wait.

While we’ve known that a Dead Cells animated series has been in the works for a while now, this teaser is our first chance to take a look. Admittedly, the visual style isn’t all too different from that of the game, so don’t expect live-action here, but it’s certainly worth checking out if you’re a fan of the game.

Right at the end of the teaser trailer is the date ‘2024’, suggesting that we can tune in to the series at some point next year. There’s no firm release date, but we know that French animation studio Bobbypills and anime streaming provider Animation Digital Network are hard at work on the adaptation, so we’re hoping it’s not too long a wait.
