Lego Bricktales builds a new life as a mobile game next month

Lego Bricktales’ mobile release date is set for late April, bringing the lovely brick-by-brick builder to iOS and Android for the first time.

Lego Bricktales is on the way to iOS and Android on April 27. The game came out to decent reviews last year, with an interesting take on the way to make a Lego videogame – its “brick-by-brick building mechanic”.

This system lets you create new objects in a way that’s pretty close to using real Lego. This is one of the aspects that has me genuinely excited for the Lego Bricktales mobile release date; the console versions’ brick-building system often meant for clunky controls in my time with the game, yet sounds ideal for a touchscreen.

Still, we can’t say it’ll work for certain, but at $4.99 / €5.59 / £4.99, it’s far cheaper than its console counterpart, and, if the graphical carousel of various brick-based locations holds up on mobile, it could be the perfect home for the brick-filled game, making it a steal.
