Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak sales are magnamalo-big

Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak sales are absolutely massive, just like the recent expansion that came to Capcom’s monster-slaying RPG

Multiple fantasy-dressed hunters facing up to a massive pink dragon known as a Malzeno in Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak. Each hunter has a different weapon, like a glaive and a hammer, while the dragon is large and various shades of red, wings aloft, floating just above the ground near them.

Capcom recently announced that Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak sales have surpassed two million units globally, a massive showing for DLC that only came out on June 30. The base game is a huge hit on the Switch and this expansion definitely looks to be continuing that trend.

With the base game selling over ten million units itself, it’s definitely no slouch. While the previous entry sold 21 million units in the four years since its launch – a Capcom all-time record – that game is available on more platforms. Given that it’s only on Switch and PC, Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak sales are incredibly strong.

There’s good reason for its success too, as you can read in our Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak review, where we said that “it’s more than worth the price” for the amount of content it delivers.
