Sure, Pokémon Day 2022 is on February 27. But The Pokémon Company doesn’t care, as it has a whole week of announcements in the lead up to the big day. Each day will cover a different announcement pertaining to an already released Pokémon game. It looks like there’s lots of news to come.
You can check out all the announcements below. We already have news for updates to Pokémon Masters EX, Pokémon Sword & Shield, Pokémon Café ReMix, and Pokémon Unite. We’re still waiting on news for P25 Music on Friday and Pokémon Go on Saturday. Then Sunday is the big day, Pokémon Day 2022. This is clearly a big week for any Pokémon diehard (i.e. everyone in the office but me…).

What games are featured in Pokémon Day 2022 announcements?
The Pokémon Company are talking about lots of games in the lead-up to Pokémon Day 2022. They are as follows:
FEBRUARY 27: POKÉMON PRESENTS
The Pokémon Company treated us to a Pokémon Presents stream full of new information and future plans to cap off a week full of announcements. We’ve got the highlights below.
Pokémon Go Alola
Pokémon from the Sun and Moon games will be appearing in the world of Pokémon Go from March 1st, with Alolan Exeggutor available now.
Pokémon Masters EX
We’re getting sync pairs Mai & Latias, Skylar & Tornadus, Raihan & Flygon in the coming months as part of the two-year anniversary of Pokémon Masters.
Pokémon Cafe Remix
Victini is coming to Pokémon Cafe Remix, alongside the new puzzle mode launching early this year. For the next few days, you’ll also have the chance of finding a shiny Piplup in your cafe, which is an opportunity not to be missed. Look at it shine!
Pokémon Unite
We found out that Duraldon will be the next Pokémon to join the Pokémon Unite roster and some more information on Hoopa’s addition to the game.
Pokémon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl
Shaymin is finally arriving in Pokémon BDSP! Following the presentation, you can now claim the mystery gift to unlock the mythical Shaymin spawn.
Pokémon Legends: Arceus
There’s a new ‘Daybreak’ update coming to Pokémon Legends: Arceus that will throw you into the deep end of another mystery as peculiar new outbreaks take place across Hisui. The training dojo has some new challenges too, with new battles available for trainers. The ‘Daybreak’ update is available now, for no extra cost.

There’s also a special Pokémon Day code – ARCEUSADVENTURE – to access 30 Ultra Balls, Gigaton Balls, and Jet Balls.
Pokémon Scarlet & Violet
Gen nine, baby! In a shock reveal, Pokémon Scarlet & Violet were announced for late 2022. This wasn’t just a small cinematic tease either, not only did we see some incredible looking landscapes from the new region, but we also got a short introduction to the new starter types. As ever, we’ll be sure to keep you up to date with the important information about the new title all the way up to release.
February 21: Pokémon Masters EX

February 22: Pokémon Sword & Shield
There’s an event until the end of the week for Pokémon Sword & Shield. Players can catch Gigantamax versions of Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise. You can get more info on the Pokémon website.
February 23: Pokémon Café ReMix
There’s a massive update for Pokèmon Café ReMix. You have a higher chance of catching a shiny Starly in an event that went live alongside the announcement, as well as a new delivery system allowing you to get items or Pokémon. Check out the details below.

February 24: Pokémon Unite
Legendary Hoopa is joining Pokémon Unite as a ranged supporter. Check out the trailer below.
February 25: P25 Music
The official P25 song and music video ‘Reconnect’, featuring Yaffle, Daichi Yamamoto, and AAAMYYY is now available to stream on YouTube.

February 26: Pokémon GO
With twenty-four hours until Pokémon Day, the Pokémon Go Tour Johto event is now live. As well as that, you can now also get your hands on some special clothing, with Ho-Oh and Lugia jackets arriving just in time for your Johto expedition.
