Where to find good Roblox items
It’s fair to say the Roblox Catalog is in a constant state of disarray. There isn’t much the Roblox Corporation can do to combat the stacks of items on the store as the game allows all users to upload their own creations. While a large amount of content to wade through might sound like a pleasant time to some shopaholics out there, for most people, it’s not a great experience.
In order to cut down on the amount of content in the catalog, players use the shop’s filters to highlight items created by specific users and groups. Here are a few of our favourite clothing creators:
If you spot someone in-game wearing something you like the look of, be sure to keep an eye on their profile. Any item worn by a player is displayed on their profile page. This allows you to find the exact item you like the look of and get a direct link to the store page they bought the clothing from.
Selling items on the Roblox catalog
You can sell your own designs on the Roblox Catalog, however, you’ll need to be subscribed to Roblox Premium. Here are the steps you’ll need to follow in order to sell your own designs:
- Head to the Create section found in the blue bar located at the top of the website
- You can design three types of clothing: T-Shirts, Pants, or Shirts
- On the right side of your design, you should see a gear. Click Configure, then Sales to list your item
- In the same window, you can price your item depending on how much you think it’s worth
Clothing cannot be given away for free, forcing players to sell t-shirts for a minimum price of two Robux, and Shirts/Pants for at least five Robux. Any Robux you make from clothing sales will be held in escrow for up to three business days before being deposited into your account.
Avoiding fakes on the Roblox catalog
The biggest problem facing the Roblox Catalog is the existence of fake clothing from copycat creators and bots. A creator that sells their original designs for 100 Robux can be undercut almost instantly by players looking to make a quick buck. Roblox’s asset system has been designed to be simple to use, but that also introduces problems for creators as this makes stealing designs very easy.
If you’ve found a piece of clothing you like the look of but it’s priced at just five Robux, that’s usually a dead giveaway that the design has been stolen. A lot of thieves title their stolen listing with the same name as the original piece, so it shouldn’t be too difficult to find the original. Paying a fair price for an original piece of clothing supports the content creator, giving them an incentive to keep making new designs. By paying a thief, you reward someone else for work they didn’t do, and that just doesn’t seem fair to us.
