Survive the Killer offers you the chance to be the brutal killer – you can live out your Ghost Face, Jason Vorhees, Leatherface, Michael Myers, and Freddy Krueger fantasies.
As the bloodthirsty killer, you need to try and kill as many players as possible before they either escape or the time runs out. Alternatively, as a survivor, you need to work as a team and try to escape together. If you’re a fan of Friday the 13th or Dead by Daylight, you’ll feel right at home here.
The Apartment
You get a message from your friend beckoning you to go to his apartment building and reach his room, 705. One problem. It doesn’t look as though anybody really does call this building home. You need to evade capture across various maps as a murderous family seeks to make you their next victim. Truly, Piggy has you on the edge of your seat, as escape is seemingly impossible.
Griefville: Survive the Nightmare!
Boy, are you Roblox horror fans in for a treat with this one, especially if you enjoy Dead by Daylight. Griefville is another game in which you need to survive the night, except, for the time being, you need to evade Chucky. Charles Lee Ray is out for blood on Roblox, and the Child’s Play villain is the first icon to grace the game.
We say the first, as the developers are using a rotation system, and each rotation introduces new locations and villains from other iconic horror movies from the 80s and 90s. Personally, I can’t wait to see the likes of Ghost Face, Jason Vorhees, and Leatherface.
SAW X: Survive the Obby
Sticking with experiences that take inspiration from existing IPs, except going one step further, is SAW X: Survive the Obby. Why is this one step further than Griefville? It’s simple, really. This game comes to you from Six Flags Fright Fest, Twisted Pictures, and Lionsgate, the latter two of which are the producers and distributors, respectively, of the Saw movies.
In SAW X: Survive the Obby, you find yourself in the fight of your virtual life, as it’s your turn to experience the horror of a Jigsaw trap. Except, like the main unfortunate victims in the movie, you have to survive a series of traps in an obstacle course hosted by Billy the Puppet.
Also, just like in the movies, you do have a time limit, so you’d best figure out how to escape the traps quickly. We should note that there is a lot of blood in the game, and that’s why it has a 17+ age rating.
POOH
Don’t worry, POOH isn’t as diabolical as Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey, so kids can actually enjoy it. Well, we say that, it might still be terrifying to have your childhood pal trying to kill you regardless. Pooh Bear is meant to be a loving, loyal, and adorable rotund bear with a love for honey, not a monster that chases you through the words.
Still, in POOH, the aim of the game is to escape the creepy teddy bear – what a way to ruin your nice vacation at a gorgeous five-star resort. You need to navigate corridors, hide in rooms, and be ready to run for your life. Good luck, you might need it.
Poppy Playtime: Forever
Okay, I love Poppy Playtime. I could talk about Poppy Playtime’s Kissy Missy all day, I think she’s a pink fuzzy pal that needs protecting. Well, in Poppy Playtime: Forever, an official game from Jazwares and Mob Entertainment, you need to deal with her worser half once more – Poppy Playtime’s Huggy Wuggy.
In Forever, you need to solve puzzles with your friends and attempt to escape the Playtime Co. Superstore, though that’s easier said than done, thanks to the toys that want to kill you. Still, if you work with your pals, you might have a chance at survival.
One of the best things about this game is that it features user-generated content. You can create your own levels and play the ones that come from other players, meaning there’s always something new to experience each time you play.
Stop it, Slender!
Okay, so you all know the creepypasta, and even if you don’t, surely you know all about Slender Man through numerous games, internet stories, and the god-awful movie. If you don’t, I have to question where you’ve been, as Slendy has been haunting the world for years at this point.
As the name clearly states, Stop it, Slender! is a Slender Man game on Roblox. It adopts the exact same premise as Slender Man: The Eight Pages and Slender: The Arrival. You need to find the eight pages while the notorious villain hunts you down. With each page you find, Slender Man gets increasingly more aggressive, making it harder and harder to survive.
Well, we say that, how efficient Slender Man is actually comes down to who plays as him. In a similar manner to Dead by Daylight, you can actually play as the killer, hunting down your would-be victims. Dead Silence
“Beware the stare of Mary Shaw. She had no children, only dolls. If you see her in your dreams, be sure you never, ever scream.” Those lovely words come from a nursery rhyme about Mary Shaw, the evil ventriloquist from the 2007 supernatural horror film Dead Silence.
Lucky for you guys (or, maybe it’s unlucky, actually), Dead Silence the Roblox experience is based on the movie of the same name. It throws you in at the deep end, asking you to investigate the case of Mary Shaw, and that means trying to survive as she and her dolls try to kill you.
You can play with up to three other players, so perhaps you can use them as a body shield or throw them to the dolls to make your escape. It’s every person for themselves when a scary lady like this is trying to get you.

One look at the demon, and you can very clearly see how the developers took the appearance of Kuchisake-Onna and molded it into their image.
The legend of the Slit-Mouthed Woman is horrifying, so you’d best believe that Control has you on the edge of your seat as death lurks around every corner. It’s much of the same in each chapter, except subsequent ones have different urban legends and folklore interweaved with them.

Upcoming Roblox horror games
The most notable upcoming Roblox horror game is Five Nights at Freddy’s: Survival Crew, an officially licensed game from creator Scott Cawthon. Yes, you read that right. A true FNAF game is on its way to Roblox.
As you can probably guess, you once again become a member of a security team, which means you’re on the chopping block. Yeah, the security guards never have it easy in these games. However, perhaps there is strength in numbers, as, in a similar manner to games like Identity V and Dead by Daylight, numerous players take on the role of a security guard, while a final player takes control of an animatronic.
We’ve not heard anything since Scott Cawthon took the game down late last year after it was accidentally released on the platform. But Survival Crew is slated to release sometime in 2024.
