While Bloxxians all over the world have spent years exploring the exciting, multi-experience worlds of Roblox, Nintendo Switch fans have yet to see it come to their favourite console. With millions of daily users and a huge demographic covering kids and adults of all ages, Roblox seems a sure hit for the family-friendly console. But, despite it being available on mobile, PC, and Xbox, we’re yet to see it hit either Switch or Playstation, leaving many of us scratching our blocky heads.
Luckily, it looks like the Roblox Nintendo Switch version may be more than just a pipe dream, as we’ve heard rumblings from Roblox Corporation’s CEO and co-founder Dave Baszucki that there are plans to bring everyone’s favourite free-to-play game builder over to both PlayStation and Switch in the future – and we might even get a VR mode in the process. But when is the Roblox Switch release date?

Roblox Switch release date speculation
While a Roblox Switch release date isn’t confirmed yet, during the Roblox Q1 earnings conference call during May 2021, Roblox Corporation’s CEO and co-founder Dave Baszucki said that Switch, Playstation, and Oculus Quest are all consoles that make sense for Roblox. This suggests that Roblox Corporation is at least considering the viability of a potential Roblox Nintendo Switch port, and hopefully, with the explosive success that Roblox has seen in recent years, it shouldn’t be too far off.
That’s everything we know about the Roblox Switch release date at the moment. We’ll be sure to update this page if any new information surfaces. In the meantime, check out our list of the best games like Roblox, featuring picks for both mobile and Switch to tide you over.
