Sailing Era splashes onto Nintendo Switch this summer

Ahoy there, seafarers! Sailing Era on Switch releases soon and we can’t wait to set off across the waves to trade, plunder treasure, and amass a crew

Sailing Era release date: A young man gripping ropes on a ship with a telescope in hand

Billibilli has given simulation RPG Sailing Era a summer window for release on the Nintendo Switch, coming into port following its debut on PC. Sailing Era will be published by Bilibili, with help from developers GY Games.

Sailing Era takes place in the 15th century when pirates ruled the seas and international trade was just taking off. Everyone wants to take to the seas and forge their own routes, and that’s exactly what you can do in Sailing Era. You can build crews and fleets of ships to create bountiful trade businesses, or just sail around for fun, between more than 100 different and unique ports.

Of course, it isn’t all administration and securing trades – there’s treasure to be found on islands and battles to be fought on the waves. Let’s not forget the ship customisation – you’ve gotta make sure you look the part while chasing down an enemy.

Sailing Era has more to it than meets the eye; there are blossoming love stories, plenty of purchasing opportunities, and even sailors that you can give specific roles upon a ship. It reminds us of a new-generation version of Sid Meier’s Pirates!, with a different flavour and setting.

We don’t have an exact release date just yet, but this summer will be a swashbuckling success for anyone wanting to join a nautical adventure.
