Speed into summer fun with the Sonic Fast Friends Forever campaign

Sonic Fast Friends Forever takes the spotlight off the titular hedgehog and instead celebrates the amazing community around the Sonic franchise.

The blue blur is back, this time to celebrate the power of friendship, teamwork, and community in the Sonic Fast Friends Forever campaign. Sega has unveiled this campaign to celebrate the dedicated fanbase around the Sonic games with a range of community events for the summer.

Sonic and his friends have taught us over the years not just to go fast, but to stand by the principles of friendship, teamwork, inspiration, and loyalty, according to the Fast Friends Forever website. The campaign kicks off with a bespoke trailer, showing how the franchise has brought people together through videogames, TV, and creative outlets like sports and art.

One of the biggest events to come out of the Fast Friends Forever campaign is the Sonic Symphony World Tour which features Sonic and friends alongside a full symphony orchestra and rock band, performing iconic tracks from the franchise’s history, from the 8-bit classics to the upcoming Sonic Superstars. The website also highlights the arrival of a new range of Sonic Lego sets and the Sonic Speed pop-up cafe in San Diego which, of course, serves chili dogs.

If you can’t make it to any of these in-person activities, there’s plenty going on online too. The first of 14 digital four-panel comics is now live and season two of TailsTube, Tails’ own show, is coming soon. Keep your eyes on the Sonic social media pages to stay up-to-date.
