New Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom glitch lets you farm rupees so quickly

The latest Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom glitch comes off the back of multiple different workarounds to duplicate items and get a bucketload of rupees on Switch.

Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom glitch -- Link, a blonde boy in white armor wearing a diamond circlet standing in front of a wooden pole standing vertically, in front of a stony mountain face. On the ground behind him is a pile of oversized diamonds.

There’s another Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom glitch for anyone looking to get rich quick, and it’s the fastest yet. Considering the wider variety of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom armor to upgrade, getting extra items can be super helpful as you explore the wide world of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

You can find out how to do it in detail below, but in short, by dropping items while paragliding, you can double up speedily. A rough time estimate puts it at 30 seconds to make around 18 duplicates. That means you can go from 18 to 36 diamonds in 30 seconds – selling all that gives you 18,000 rupees, enough to buy twelve Hudson dream homes (you can’t buy more than one, but still).

Now, use this TotK glitch at your own peril. It ruins the in-game economy. For example, when you get to Kakariko Village, the Radiant armor set is 5,000 rupees a piece, 15,000 total, until you complete a specific quest. After that, it drops massively. If you have a purse overflowing with rupees, it makes that quest a little pointless, and that’s just sad.

Anyway, you’ve had fair warning. Here’s how you do the latest TotK glitch:

  • Have the item you want to duplicate in the last slot in your inventory
    • You can do this just by dropping all of that item on the floor and picking it back up
  • Paraglide off something (not high up, mind you – the duplicated items fall to the floor as you glide)
  • Open the menu with ‘+’
  • Hold an item with a quantity of one
  • Fill the other slots with the item you want to duplicate
  • Close the menu

You can do this around four times in one mini glide – any more and items start to disappear as the game has a limit of 21 items in the world at a time. Thanks to USBdongle6727 for finding this great dupe method. There’s a video of the process below for all you visual learners.
