MapleStory M’s fifth anniversary brings shrine maiden magic to mobile

MapleStory M’s fifth anniversary is already here, marking five years since the side-scrolling MMORPG made the jump to mobile, and Nexon wants to celebrate.

Nexon celebrates the MapleStory M fifth anniversary in style with the addition of a brand-new character, plus a range of exclusive events and minigames. MapleStory M is one of the cutest and best mobile MMORPGs out there and this latest edition is no different.

Joining the MapleStory M roster is Kanna, an adorable Magician class character who wields a fan as a weapon and journeys alongside her fluffy fox companion, Haku. We think she looks like a chibi fusion of Genshin Impact’s Raiden Shogun and Genshin Impact’s Yae Miko, which is just perfect. Kanna and Haku must push back the evil growing in Maple World and save Princess Sakuno from a mad warlord.

As a magician, and by the looks of it, a shrine maiden too, Kanna’s arrival in Maple World brings a boost of power to magical summons, triggering the Mega Burning Plus event. This makes it easier to level up your characters as with each level they gain, they get an extra level for free.

You’ll also get to explore Kanna’s home region of Momijigaoka and get to know her better in her growth mission. Plus, gain limited-time rewards with daily logins during the event period. To fully explore the fifth anniversary festivities, you can download MapleStory M on Google Play and the App Store.
