How do I catch Pokémon Go’s Rayquaza?
In Pokémon Go, Rayquaza is only available in five-star raids. To catch Rayquaza, you must find a Pokémon Go raid featuring the legendary creature, go to battle, defeat it, and then catch it. As a legendary Pokémon, Rayquaza is very strong. Therefore, we recommend that you enter raids with other trainers (at least four), and use Pokémon that counter Rayquaza well. You can find our list of Rayquaza counters below.
How do I catch shiny Rayquaza in Pokémon Go?
Like most Pokémon, Rayquaza has a chance of appearing in its shiny form when you encounter it in Pokémon Go. While the regular shiny rate is 0.2% (1 in 500), when discovering legendary Pokémon in raids the shiny rate increases to 5% (1 in 20).
