Pokémon Legends: Arceus battle styles explained

The two Pokémon Legends: Arceus battle styles offer you a choice. You can either do a more powerful attack less regularly or a weaker attack more regularly.

Pokémon Legends: Arceus strong style

The strong style means that attacks are more powerful, however, your attack speed is reduced, delaying your next move. While this may lead to inflicting a big chunk of damage, if your enemy is still standing, they’ll have more time to attack you, possibly leading to multiple attacks in a row. This style is best used when the Pokémon you’re attacking is very low on health, so that your strong attack causes them to faint, rather than giving them a chance to attack you multiple times.

Pokémon Legends: Arceus agile style

The agile style works the opposite way to the strong style. When using the agile style, attacks are less powerful, however, you may be able to do another attack before your enemy. This is especially useful if you want to inflict a status effect, like paralysis. Once your opponent is paralysed, you can switch to the strong style and inflict a heavy attack.
