Yesterday, the Pokémon World Championships 2022 concluded, and not only was it a tremendous occasion for competitive trainers, but for those eagerly awaiting news on Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, as The Pokémon Company unveiled a new trailer that demonstrates the battling system.
However, as exciting as this is, it’s not what has the internet smiling with glee. Rather, it’s the fact the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet ghost tera form resembles the ghost of Cubone’s mum from Lavender Town in generation one. Admittedly, all spirits in the tower appear this way until you find the silph scope, but no matter what, this is how the ghostly form of Marowak appears to begin with.
This is an exciting little tidbit that takes players back to what’s arguably one of the most iconic and well-known segments from across the entire series, and it occurs in generation one, so it’s a longstanding narrative that tugs at the hearts of trainers worldwide, ourselves included. Evidently, players are more than happy with this, especially if this Reddit thread is anything to go buy.
What ‘mon has the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet ghost tera form
As seen in the latest trailer, Tyranitar has the ghost above its head when it terastallizes. We don’t know if it’s the case for other creatures or not yet, though we certainly hope it’s not there to weigh Spoink down. We should learn more on the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet release date later this year.
