Tower of Fantasy relics
What are Tower of Fantasy relics?
Tower of Fantasy relics are equipable items that help you in world exploration and combat. They offer a variety of different active skills that all have their unique uses, and can truly help upgrade your playstyle.
The first relic you get is your jetpack, which helps you fly to high places, or glide out across the land. After this, you gain many different types as you progress, including floating cannons, invisibility cloaks, and more.
You equip your relics by heading to the relic page from the escape menu, opening the deploy tab, and choosing which slot to equip them to. You can only have two relics equipped at once, but you can select up to three loadouts, which you can toggle between on the fly.
We recommend having one loadout dedicated to exploration, with your jetpack and jetboard equipped to it, one for utility with relics such as your omnium cannon and strange cube, and the other for combat, with your damage-dealing relics. However, this is entirely up to you and your personal play style.
How do I unlock Tower of Fantasy relics?
You can collect Tower of Fantasy relics through a variety of different methods.
- Progress through the story – some relics are given to you at certain points in the story, such as the jetpack and jetboard
- Complete ruins – you also get specific relics when going through ruins, such as the strange cube and the omnium cannon. These are usually required to complete the ruin and claim all the chests
- Rewards – completing daily and weekly missions, parts of your Wanderer’s Logbook, and specific exploration rewards occasionally earns you relics and relic shards
- Relic shards – you can craft and advance relics by collecting a set number of the specific relic’s shards. You obtain these through drops and relic shard boxes, which you earn from world bosses, ruins, Claire’s Dream Machine challenges, and event rewards
How do I advance my Tower of Fantasy relics?
You can’t upgrade Tower of Fantasy relics like you can weapons – instead, their growth entirely depends on advancement. You can advance relics by collecting a set number of their relic shards, then heading to the relics page. You then click on the relic you want to advance, go to the advancement tab, and click ‘OK’.
Each relic has its own unique advancement bonuses, which offer a range of handy buffs, including increasing the number of charges they can store, reducing their cooldowns or stamina consumption, or increasing their damage. At certain advancement stars, they also offer general buffs to your damage, resistances, and more when equipped, even if you’re not using them.
Some bonuses are far more useful than others. For example, we highly recommend advancing the jetpack as soon as you get the opportunity, as its first advancement level means that gliding with your jetpack no longer uses stamina. This makes exploration so much easier, especially in steep areas like Crown Mines.
