Waddle Dee’s Weapons Shop
- How to unlock: Clear “The Brawl in the Mall”
Upgrade your copy abilities for a fresh look, and suped-up powers, with Waddle Dee’s Weapon Shop. With twelve Kirby and the Forgotten Land copy abilities to upgrade with all those awesome Kirby and the Forgotten Land blueprints, you’ll need to stop by Waddle Dee’s Weapons Shop quite frequently throughout your adventure through the forgotten land. Fortunately, Weapons-Shop Waddle Dee is a superb host, and he gets very excited if you find any new Kirby and the Forgotten Land blueprints.
Waddle Dee-liveries
- How to unlock: Rescue 50 Waddle Dees
The post-master of Waddle Dee Town is a generous sort, ready to pay Kirby some serious coin just for hunting down present codes (which you can find in our Kirby and the Forgotten Land codes guide, by the way). While you might not have any express deliveries arrive from Planet Popstar, you can get some extra Gotcha machine goodies with the extra currency you get from using codes.
Waddle Dee Cafe
- How to unlock: Rescue 60 Waddle Dees
We know Kirby loves a snack, so it’s no surprise that Waddle Dee Town has a kicking cafe for the star-surfer to grab some sweet treats. Not only can Kirby grab a bite to eat himself, but he can also join the kitchen staff for a part-time shift, with three different levels of mini-game difficulty. Either way, the good folks of Waddle Dee Town are eating well tonight.
Waddle Dee’s Item Shop
- How to unlock: Rescue 145 Waddle Dees
If a little snack isn’t doing it for you, get over to Waddle Dee’s Item Shop for some Kirby-fied performance-enhancing substances. With a green potion to double Kirby’s health bar, or red and blue potions to enhance attack and defence, respectively, these items come in handy if you’re having a little trouble with the powerful late-game Kirby and the Forgotten Land bosses.
Wise Waddle Dee
- How to unlock: Clear “The Tropical Terror”
Wise Waddle Dee makes his friends look like Waddle Dunces, with his square cap, fetching spectacles, and endless reams of information. If you’re trying to find hidden blueprints, Wise Waddle Dee will point you in the right direction with a few well-placed words, as well as being able to tell you some high scores and statistics for other Kirby players around the world.
Tilt-and-Roll Kirby Mini-game
- How to unlock: Rescue 180 Waddle Dees
Roll up, roll up, Game-Shop Waddle Dee is in town for a game of tilt-and-roll with the pink puffball. While there isn’t anything here to help you out on your adventure, the tilt-and-roll game is a very fun use of the Switch’s motion controls, and is a fitting nod to Kirby’s long history of mini-game madness.

As well as finding capsules containing figures in missions, Kirby can buy little gifts for himself at the Gotcha machines in Waddle Dee Town. There are four machines in total to unlock, one for each volume of figures, and 256 figures to collect in total.
Kirby’s House
- How to unlock: Rescue 50 Waddle Dees
Even Kirby needs a place to rest his weary bones. Does Kirby have bones? Nevermind. Kirby’s house gives you a safe place to heal up between missions, and offers a little reading material with a book on the table describing some of Kirby’s recent adventures in other titles.
Colosseum
- How to unlock: Clear “Danger Under the Big Top”
Give yourself a bit of a battle challenge with the Waddle Dee Town colosseum, home of the Meta Knight cup. It’s worth taking up the gauntlet and vying for first place to earn the Meta Knight Sword copy ability, and you’ll unlock even greater challenges following the end-game credits.
Flash Fishing Mini-game
- How to unlock: Rescue 155 Waddle Dees
Feel like taking an afternoon off from saving the world? What better way to do it than with a spot of fishing. In this mini-game, Kirby hunts for carp and star coins hidden deep in Waddle Dee Town’s pond, and there are rumours of a big catch for you to find. It’s a shame there isn’t a deep-sea diver copy ability, but we’ll make do with a rod and a folding chair for now.
