The new Pokémon Legends: Arceus clans pay homage to Pokémon Diamond and Pearl, which is a nice connection for any Pokémon fan. The Hisui region, where Arceus is set, is the ancient place that would soon become the Sinnoh region, where Diamond and Pearl are set.
But the two Pokémon Legends: Arceus clans are more than just a token easter egg. The Diamond and Pearl clans have two distinct attitudes, as well as noble Pokémon they choose to protect with their wardens. They both take care of the Hisui region, yet in two quite different ways.

Who Are The Pokémon Legends: Arceus clans?
The Pokémon Company detailed the two clans in a recent YouTube video, showcasing the two leaders of the clans and their differing personalities. Since the game’s release, we have learned more about them and their interests, which you can find more about below.
Pokémon Legends: Arceus Diamond clan
In the video, we meet Adaman, the leader of the Diamond clan. Adaman appears hard-nosed and headstrong, leading the Diamond clan to the destination without focusing too much on little details. When you first meet Adaman we learn that his clan is obsessed with time, and he wants to make the most of the time he has.

Pokémon Legends: Arceus Pearl clan
Meanwhile, the Pearl clan is led by Irida. She’s clearly gentler, more mystical, and less grounded than her harder counterpart. She takes more care in her leadership, saying that ‘caution and foresight’ are her watchwords. It would appear she is Adaman’s opposite, interested in the vast space that their god Sinnoh has created in the Hisui region. There is also Warden Lian, a young member of the Pearl clan.
