A new Samsung Z Fold 6 and Samsung Z Flip 6 colors leak has given us some insight into what to expect from the next generation of Samsung flip and fold phones this year. While it’s not a major deviation from previous releases, there is some good news for fans of pink phones, like much of the team at Pocket Tactics.
According to the latest information from renowned leaker Ross Young, via GSMArena, the Samsung Z Flip 6 comes in Yellow, Silver, Light Blue, and Light Green, while the Samsung Z Fold 6 colorways are Silver, Dark Blue, and Light Pink. Last year’s Z Fold 5 is available in cy Blue, Phantom Black, and Cream, with the Z Flip 5 coming in Mint, Graphite, Cream, and Lavender, so while some of the colors seem pretty similar – I mean, what’s the difference between Mint and Light Green, really? – it looks like the brand is trying to shake things up at least a little bit.
While the Z Flip 6 is still something of a mystery, this isn’t the first leak we’ve seen detailing the design of the Z Fold 6. Last month, we reported on rumors that the Z Fold 6 is to be slightly thinner and wider than its predecessor, which isn’t a surprise considering others in the industry, like HONOR, offering incredibly thin folding phones like the Magic V2. Many competitors have arrived on the scene since Samsung launched its first foldable in 2019, so the brand has to impress more than ever to continue leading the market.
In terms of specs, we’ve heard rumors that both new devices are to utilize the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, the same as the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra. With that in mind, we’re expecting both the Z Flip 6 and the Z Fold 6 to come with all the exciting Galaxy AI features we saw on show at the release of the Samsung Galaxy S24 series earlier this year, with Samsung just one of many brands to emphasize AI software in 2024.
At the time of writing, we’re not sure when the Z Flip 6 and Z Fold 6 launch might arrive, but we’re expecting Samsung to debut both devices simultaneously, as is the company tradition. There might be a third device, though, with rumors circulating of the possibility of a Samsung triple foldable phone. According to insiders, Samsung is currently racing Huawei to bring the first tri-fold device to market, so it’s possible that we could see this arrive at the same time as the brand’s flipping and folding flagships.
