When is Black Friday 2024?
This year, Black Friday will take place on November 29. This is slightly later than usual due to the fact that it follows Thanksgiving, which is itself later than usual in 2024. While some sale events will start earlier in November, the main ones will start on the Friday and run through the weekend. The following Monday, December 2, is then Cyber Monday (which is especially likely to see a few Apple deals).
How to get the best Black Friday deals
Here are a few tips for making sure you get the best deals this Black Friday:
- Make a list: if you identify all the Apple products you want to buy in advance, then you can just search for those ones specifically on the day. This will save you from having to trawl through hundreds of deals.
- Set a budget: it’s not a good deal if you end up spending more than you ever would have otherwise. Set a budget and stick to that to avoid the trap of spending more than you would have otherwise just because things are on sale.
- Avoid scams: scammers like to take advantage of shoppers of this period and are especially prone to focusing their scams on Apple products. If you see a deal that seems to good to be true, then it probably is. Look carefully at URLs and email addresses to make sure that the person or website you’re dealing with is what it seems.
- Compare prices: some retailers will claim that a certain discount is larger than it is by inflating the original RRP. If something says it is 75% off, crosscheck with the Apple website (where prices won’t be inflated) so you can see if it really has been reduced by as much as it claims. For Amazon in particular, the tool Camelcamelcamel can show you a product’s price history.
