What is a Genshin Impact Shrine of Depths?

Shrines of Depths are ancient structures, sealed off when the civilization that built them was lost. They look like stone gazebos with glowing, translucent doors, which you can only open with a Shrine of Depths key. There are ten Shrines of Depths in each region. Keys are region-specific, and can be earnt through completing domains, quests, levelling up Statues of the Seven, and more.

Shrines of Depths contain a luxurious chest containing a random assortment of weapons and artifacts, along with the following:

  • 40 primogems
  • 60 adventure EXP
  • Ten sigils corresponding to the region

Map of Liyue showing Shrine of Depths locations

Genshin Impact Liyue Shrine of Depths locations

As Liyue is quite large, we’ve split the map into two parts. All of the locations of the first seven Liyue Shrines of Depths are marked on the map above, and the last three shrines are marked on the second map below. See the corresponding number below for directions to help you find them.

  1. 1. Teleport to the Bishui Plain waypoint, to the south of Wuwang Hill. Head north and climb the cliffs until you reach a cave with a waterfall, next to which will be the shrine
  2. 2. This can be a bit tricky to find, as there are no teleport points in the direct area. We found the easiest way was to teleport to the Bishui Plain waypoint at Stone Gate. Jump down and follow the coast around to the south of the waypoint. Climb the cliff, then follow the path past the blue-roofed house on your left until you reach the shrine.
  3. 3. Teleport to the Qiongji Estiary waypoint to the north of Mingyun Village and west of Dragonspine’s Entomed City Outskirts. Head to the northeast, and you’ll find the shrine at the base of some cliffs, beside a waterfall.
  4. 4. Teleport to the waypoint on the island to the northeast of Mt Aocang. Head southwest to the edge of the island, and you’ll find the shrine next to a tree with red leaves.
  5. 5. Teleport to the Clear Pool and Mountain Cavern Domain to the northeast of Mt. Aocang and walk south until you see a breakable wall on your left, marked by a dragon statue. Break the rock, then follow the path. The path branches in two a few times, but most paths lead to the same point. One route is to go right, then left, then keep going right until you see the Shrine of Depths.
  6. 6. Teleport to the waypoint on Mt. Aocang, then walk to the east edge of the cliff. You’ll see the Shrine of Depths on a smaller mountain in the distance to the east, and can glide to it from there.
  7. 7. Teleport to the waypoint in Nantianmen, then climb the cliffs behind it – one large, then one small (to the northeast) to find the Shrine of Depths.

  1. 8. Teleport to the waypoint in Minlin, to the south of Tianqiu Valley, then climb the cliffs to the east. You find the shrine behind the highest point, nestled between rocks.
  2. 9. Teleport to the Domain of Wayward Path, then glide and turn around so you’re facing to the north. Below you, you’ll find a cave with a pool and a cryo abyss mage, alongside the Shrine of Depths.
  3. 10. This Shrine of Depths is on an island in Guyun Stone Forest. You can either teleport to the Domain of Guyun, or The Crux: The Alcor (Beidou’s Ship), then glide and swim the rest of the way, but be sure to keep an eye on your stamina so you don’t drown. Or, you could always use a cryo champ and make yourself a frost bridge if you have the patience.
