Harry Potter: Magic Awakened 1v1 decks

If you’re solo battling or taking on the story mode, the Harry Potter: Magic Awakened decks below are great for getting started. As the meta evolves, we’re going to come back and add more proven winners, but for now, these sets are sure to help you prove yourself during your first term at Hogwarts.

Aggressive Hagrid

Spells and creatures: The Monster Book of Monsters, Inflatus, Bewitched Snowballs, Boomtastic Bubble Blasts, Acromantula Venom, Sectumsempra, Erumpent, Troll

Companions: Rubeus Hagrid, Robyn Thistlethwaite, Daniel Page

Echo: Echo of Rubeus Hagrid

Hagrid might not be known as the most aggressive of characters from the Wizarding World, but in this deck he changes his tune. As a companion, Hagrid boosts movement speed, so your Troll and Monster Books of Monsters get a little extra zip while attacking. That leaves enough room for some helpful spells to deal additional damage while your creatures attack.

Fiendfire Flash

Spells and creatures: Swelling Solution, Spiders, Episkey, Cornish Pixies, Atmospheric Charm, Matagot, Confringo, Fiendfyre

Companions: Robyn Thistlethwaite, Lottie Turner, Daniel Page

Echo: Echo of Rubeus Hagrid

This deck is all about making Fiendfyre stay on the field to reach its true potential. Use all your spells to keep Fiendfyre as potent as possible, and then ruin your opponent in the end game. If possible, use the Echo of Rubeus Hagrid to speed up your Fiendfyre, and Spiders make it even quicker.

Bludgers and Dodgers

Spells and creatures: Incarcerous, Bludger, Atmospheric Charm, Matagot, Confringo, Erumpent, Golden Snitch, Blast-Ended Skrewt

Companions: Robyn Thistlethwaite, Lottie Turner

Echo: Echo of Dobby

The Bludger deals some heavy damage, zipping around with the Golden Snitch, while you apparate to dodge enemy attacks. The more you use the Golden Snitch, the lower the cost for the Blast-Ended Skrewt, providing some entertaining end-game plays.

Hagrid’s Monsters

Spells and creatures: Oppugno, Niffler, Swelling Solution, Inflatus, Essence of Dittany, Thunderbird, Matagot, Stack of Monster Books of Monsters

Companions: Robyn Thistlethwaite, Cassandra Vole, Lottie Turner

Echo: Echo of Rubeus Hagrid

If you want some serious firepower, you can always rely on Hagrid and his little friends to bring the pain. The idea here is to unleash the Stack of Monster Books of Monsters as often as possible, using other cards to support it as it knocks back enemy units.

Echo of Severus Snape

Spells and creatures: Accio, Sectumsempra, Atmospheric Charm, Pawn, Golden Snitch, Time-Turner, Piertotem Locomotor, Phoenix

Companions: Kevin Farrell, Robyn Thistlethwaite, Cassandra Vole

Echo: Echo of Severus Snape

Duo Distractions

Spells and creatures: Broomstick, Nebulus, Spiders, Occamy, Sectumsempra, Protego Totalum, Acromantula’s Nest, Troll

Companions: Robyn Thistlethwaite, Lottie Turner, Frey Twins

Echo: Echo of the Weasley Twins

This deck revolves around using Spider, Acromantula’s Nest, Troll, and Occamy to keep your opponent busy while you deal damage. Combine all this going on with the double trouble of the Fray Twins and your opponent won’t know where to begin.

High-cost Hermione

Spells and creatures: Nebulus, Broomstick, Oppugno, Essence of Dittany Tornado Charm, Tebo, Incendio, Confringo

Companions: Robyn Thistlethwaite, Ivy Warrington, Daniel Page

Echo: Echo of Hermione Granger

This deck is a tale of two halves. For the start of the game, concentrate on getting low-cost cards out to activate the effect of Echo of Hermione Granger.
