When you first meet Tower of Fantasy’s Cobalt B on your initial visit to Hykros, she comes across as quite the aloof and quiet gal. But, when equipped with her powerful weapon, Flaming Revolver, she proves herself to be a real fiery bright spark, and a threat to anyone in range. Team that with her fierce intellect and skills as a mechanic, and it’s clear that she’s a great asset to any team.
If you want to make the most of Tower of Fantasy Cobalt B’s talents, you’re in the right place. In this ToF Cobalt B build guide, we look at her skills, attacks, advancement, and more. Keep in mind that, as she’s yet to join Tower of Fantasy global, most of the information in this guide is based on the CN version of the game, and will likely change with her global release.
While you’re here, be sure to check out our Tower of Fantasy character guide and Tower of Fantasy tier list to see how all the Simulacra size up. We’ve also got a bunch of builds for other characters, including Tower of Fantasy Claudia, Tower of Fantasy Frigg, and Tower of Fantasy Cocoritter.
Tower of Fantasy Cobalt
Cobalt B is a super smart gal who works for Hykros, and is the one who sets you up with your first pair of wheels, Falcon. In our brief interaction with her during the main story quest, we saw that she’s a bit of a quiet one, seemingly more interested in the tech she works on than any social interactions.
Cobalt B is an SSR Simulacra who wields a fire-imbued gun called Flaming Revolver.
Cobalt B made her initial debut in the CN version of Tower of Fantasy back in January 2022 and was actually the second limited Simulacra in the game. She’s finally available in the global version, with her first banner, Burning Raction, running from October 6 to October 27.
Cobalt B is a strong, ranged DPS with great fire damage application, AoE capabilities, and great crowd control potential. She’s the first Simulacra with a weapon offering flame resonance, making her a great choice for fire-based teams. Her barrage skill is her crowning jewel, offering powerful damage and great range. If you want to use Cobalt B as your main DPS, you should aim to at least get her Flaming Revolver to three stars of advancement, as the DoT this gives you provides her kit with far more punch.
Here, we list all the main stats for Cobalt B’s weapon, Flaming Revolver. These are the weapon’s base stats before you level it up or equip it with any matrices.
The shatter ranking dictates how quickly Flaming Revolver can break enemy shields, whereas the charge rate shows how quickly the weapon gains charge.
- CS: 272
- Shatter: 12.50 (S)
- Charge: 10.00 (A)
- Attack: 19
- HP: 1165
- Crit: 13
- Type: Flame – when your weapon is fully charged, your next attack sets the target on fire for eight seconds, causing ongoing damage equal to a set percentage of attack every second. Ignited targets receive reduced efficacy from healing
Here are each of Tower of Fantasy Cobalt B’s skills and attacks. Note that this is based on Flaming Revolver’s level one stats, which increase as you level up the weapon.
|Normal attack||While on the ground, perform five basic attacks in a row.
First attack: deal damage equal to 52.3% of ATK +3
Second attack: deal damage equal to 75.6% of ATK +4
Third attack: deal damage equal to 94.5% of ATK +5
Fourth attack: deal damage equal to 142.8% of ATK +8
Fifth attack: deal damage equal to 137.8% of ATK +7
|Charge attack (hold attack)||Tap and hold basic attack to charge a shot, releasing to fire rounds that deal 95.4% of attack +5 damage and explode three seconds later, dealing 23.9% of attack as damage to nearby enemies. Each time the target is dealt damage before the explosion (up to four times), AoE damage doubles and damage increases|
|Jumping Blast (jump, attack)||When in the air or after a jump, launch an air attack, throwing a bomb forward which deals damage to enemies in a circular AoE. The bombs deal 90.8% of ATK +5 damage, and knock the target back, consuming 250 stamina|
|Aerial Discharge (jump, jump, attack)||Fire an omnium beam downwards. The beam sweeps forward, dealing damage equal to 33.8% of ATK +2|
|Close Quarters||Use a basic attack immediately after dodging to trigger Close Quarters, dealing 156.1% of ATK +8 damage to targets in a frontal cone area|
|Barrage||Continuously fire at targets within the skill range, dealing a total of 666% of ATK +35 damage||60 seconds|
|Multiple grenade||When a weapon is fully charged or phantasia is triggered, switch to this weapon to cleanse yourself of all debuffs and launch three grenades. Hitting a target deals 570% of ATK +30 damage, with a knock-up effect|
You can advance Tower of Fantasy weapons by using their corresponding fusion cores, which you get by collecting more than one copy of a character. After you get your first copy of Cobalt B and her Flaming Revolver, you can purchase another copy through the limited store during her banner for 120 flame gold. Alternatively, you can get a duplicate of Cobalt B by pulling on the banner, but, of course, this is entirely up to RNG.
Advancing your weapons by spending fusion cores and gold unlocks special bonuses. Here are all of the bonuses you gain from unlocking each of Cobalt B’s advancement stars.
- One star: each round of attack deals additional damage equal to 2% of the target’s current HP (cannot exceed 180% of attack)
- Two stars: increases the weapon’s base attack growth by 16%
- Three stars: dodge and charged attacks inflict Ion Scorch on targets that are already burned, dealing flame damage equal to 40% of their current attack every second for ten seconds
- Four stars: increases the weapon’s base attack growth by 32%
- Five stars: increases Ion Scorch’s damage to 60% of attack. Successful attacks with any weapon’s dodge skills refresh the duration of Ion Scorch
- Six stars: your barrage skill inflicts burn for 15 seconds. Successful attacks with any dodge skills reduce the barrage’s cooldown by four seconds. This effect has a 1.5-second cooldown
Cobalt B has her own SSR matrices, which are likely to be featured on the limited matrix banner alongside her limited weapon banner. Her set complements her mobile combat style, allowing her to dodge more frequently and increasing her DoT application and damage capabilities. Alternatively, combining two of Samir’s set and two of Crow’s set is a great choice, boosting both her crit and damage per hit.
For an SR substitute, you can go with Sobek’s Swamp Shadow set, which boosts her damage based on how many enemies are in range. Or, if you need an R-rank option while you wait for something better to come along, go with Self-explosive, which gives you a small flame damage boost.
Check out our Tower of Fantasy matrices guide to find out more.

To upgrade Cobalt B, you need firecore, nano coating, and booster frames. You can get boxes containing nano coating and booster frames as rewards from Dimensional Trials, Interstellar Exploration, Omnium Beacons, and the weapon store. You can find firecore while out exploring, or by using elemental shard boxes. For more help locating materials, check out our Tower of Fantasy map guide.
Due to her flame resonance, the best way to make the most of Cobalt B’s kit is to team her up with other flame units. For PVE content, we recommend matching her with Tower of Fantasy’s King and Tower of Fantasy’s Nemesis, a team that offers plenty of shatter potential, high burst damage, and great self-sustain.
For PvP, you should team Cobalt B up with Tower of Fantasy’s Claudia and Tower of Fantasy’s Zero. In this line up, Cobalt B acts as a sub-DPS, while Claudia is your main damage dealer. The combined high charge value allows you to switch between these two fierce gals to dish out discharge after discharge. Zero offers plenty of tankiness, and at higher advancement becomes a great healer.
