Tower of Fantasy gifts - a group of characters on a structure high in the sky, celebrating

If you want to build a bond with the Simulacra in Tower of Fantasy, gifts are a sure-fire way of winning their hearts – and a bunch of cool bonuses, too. They’re a great way of showing that you care, and the thoughtful act of offering up a prezzie that your new simulated pal truly likes helps awaken long forgotten memories, unlocking voice logs and unique traits in the process.

So let’s take a look at what exactly Tower of Fantasy gifts do, how they work, and where to get them from, along with each of the Simulacra’s favourite gifts. Whether you’re gifting King a postcard, Meryl a snowglobe, or Nemesis a teddy bear, they’re bound to appreciate the effort, and gathering up those Awakening points never hurts, either.

If you want to get to know more about each of the Simulacra before you splurge on a bunch of pricey gifts, check out our Tower of Fantasy characters guide. We’ve also got a Tower of Fantasy tier list, along with guides to all the Tower of Fantasy weapons, Tower of Fantasy cooking, Tower of Fantasy vehicles, and the latest Tower of Fantasy codes.

What are Tower of Fantasy gifts and Awakening points?

When you get to level 18 and finish duking it out in the Mega Arena, you gain a Tower of Fantasy gift in your inventory and unlock the Simulacra Awakening feature. Every Simulacra has their own awakening progress score, and increasing this earns you special rewards specific to the character. These include avatars, voice logs, unique traits, and more. You even get the occasional text message conversation with your Simulacra after you’ve raised enough awakening points with them.

So, how do you get those ToF Awakening points? Well, by giving the Simulacra gifts, of course!

Gifts come in three rarities – small (green), fine (blue), and special (purple), and each of them has their own ‘tags’. Every Simulacra has their own preference when it comes to gift tags, and the amount of awakening points you get from giving them a gift depends on the gift’s rarity and whether the tag aligns with those that the Simulacra prefers.

Here are all of the different ToF gift tags currently in the game.

  • Everyday items
  • Asperia
  • Saved
  • Rare items
  • Limited store items
  • Toys
  • Decorations
  • Games
  • Metal items
  • Figurines

You can see a gift’s tags beneath its description in its item page.

How do I get Tower of Fantasy gifts?

You occasionally obtain gifts through specific quests, but the main way to get them is through purchasing them. There are currently three places where you can purchase ToF gifts.

ToF Points Store

You can purchase gift boxes from the Points Store in the Commissary by redeeming training points. You earn training points through completing missions at the training facilities dotted around the map. The Points store offers three types of gift box:

  • Small gift (60 training points)
  • Fine gift (120 training points)
  • Special gift (240 points)

After purchasing one of these gift boxes, you can open them from your inventory and choose a gift of the corresponding rarity.

ToF Crystal Dust Store

As with the points store, you can purchase gift boxes using crystal dust, a currency you earn through using vitality. The Crystal Dust Store offers two types of gift boxes:

  • Fine gift (60 crystal dust)
  • Special gift (60 crystal dust)

Once again, you can open these boxes from your inventory and choose from a selection of gifts of the corresponding rarity

ToF Banges item vendor

In Banges dock, at coordinates (-252.4, 294.9), there’s an item vendor called Claude. He sells a selection of green quality gifts with a variety of different tags for 500 gold each. These do, however, have a weekly limit of two each, so you can’t just blow all your gold and buy your Simulacra’s affection on the spot, sorry!

How do I send my Tower of Fantasy gifts?

It’s all well and good having a sack full of prezzies, but they’re useless if you don’t send them, right? Well, you can view your gifts from the gift tab at the bottom of your backpack page, but, in order to send them, you need to head to the Awaken tab of your Simulacra page.

From here, you can select the Simulacra you’d like to treat from the row of hexagon icons at the bottom. All of the Simulacra you own are highlighted here (of course, you can’t give gifts to a Simulacra that you don’t own).

When you’ve selected a Simulacra, click the ‘gift’ tab of the profile on the right side of the screen. From here, you can see the Simulacra’s preferred gifts, their current awakening points, and all the gifts currently in your inventory. Choose a gift that matches their favourite tags, then hit ‘send’ at the bottom of the screen. Don’t expect any fanfare here – the joy lays with that Awakening progress number increasing.

From the ‘information’ tab above the ‘gift’ one, you can see the Simulacra’s recollection rewards and how many Awakening points you need to snag them. You can also claim them here when you get enough points.
