Genshin Impact is one of the most popular open-world RPGs in the world, and with good reason, it features expansive lands and offers interesting game mechanics. Mihoyo’s title houses many characters, but it’s not all about the playable heroes. The NPCs also play a part in making the world of Genshin Impact what it is – a joy to explore, with plenty of quests to keep you busy. So, we are zooming in on one of the new NPCs on the latest playable map, Inazuma.

Who is Genshin Impact’s Chouji?
Chouji is a young boy in Inazuma, who has a bit of a sad backstory. After his father passes away, his mother abandons him as she goes to search for her husband, not believing he’s truly gone, leaving Chouji alone in the world. However, this means the young boy is fiercely independent and self-sufficient, refusing to rely on anybody else, and losing them, much like his parents.
Where can I find Genshin Impact’s Chouji?
Initially, you find Chouji near Jakotsu Mine on Yashiori Island, Inazuma. However, upon completing his world quest, you can speak to him once more at his house, before he moves on to two other locations – Tatarasuna in Kannazuka, and Inazuma City on Narukami Island.
After speaking to Chouji in Inazuma City, he finally leaves the region, heading for Snezhnaya.
If you’re struggling to find him at his subsequent locations, he is standing between the Eastern waypoint and the statue of the seven in Tatarasuna, and next to the big red shrine in Inazuma city.
What are Genshin Impact Chouji’s quests?
Chouji has one world quest available, in which he initially asks you to gather crystal marrow. The mission is three thousand miles away, and it has 11 steps for completion, including the gathering of crystal marrow, talking to Chouji multiple times, and investigating a shrine. However, rewards for going through the trouble include primogems, hero’s wit, mora, adventure exp, and a new recipe.
After completing this quest, you can speak to him at his house. After that, he moves to the areas mentioned above, before leaving Inazuma entirely.
