When Hoyoverse’s open-world adventure, Genshin Impact, came out back on September 28, 2020, no one could have guessed just how much of a smash hit it would become. Now, two years in, Genshin has become an absolute juggernaut in the industry, with millions of Travelers logging on every day to explore the ever-expanding world of Teyvat and its wonderfully detailed lore.

It’s now time to celebrate the second Genshin Impact anniversary, and, of course, many of you are curious about what to expect in terms of the events and goodies available. Last year, Travelers snagged a bunch of goodies including primogems, fragile resin, intertwined fates, and even an exclusive windglider. So, what does Hoyoverse have in store for us this year? Let’s take a look at all the details we have so far.

When is the Genshin Impact anniversary date?

As mentioned above, the initial Genshin Impact release date was September 28, 2020. It coincides with the launch day of Genshin Impact update 3.1, which brings with it a whole new Sumeru desert region, along with fresh characters Genshin Impact’s Cyno, Genshin Impact’s Candace, and Genshin Impact’s Nilou.

What are the second Genshin Impact anniversary rewards?

 

Throughout the Genshin Impact second anniversary, you can claim the following rewards through your mail box.

After the version update:

  • 400 primogems
  • Cloud Retainer’s Demsasked Device

September 29:

  • 400 primogems
  • Two fragile resin

September 30:

  • 400 primogems
  • Two fragile resin

October 1: 

  • 400 primogems
  • Jumpy Dumpty Party Popper

There is also an anniversary login event called Path of Gleaming Jade running from October 14 – 31, in which you can claim the following rewards:

  • Day one: one intertwined fate
  • Day two: 80,000 mora
  • Day three: two intertwined fate
  • Day four: 18 mystic enhancement ore
  • Day five: two intertwined fate
  • Day six: eight Hero’s Wit
  • Day seven: five intertwined fate

What were the previous Genshin Impact anniversary rewards and events?

During the first Genshin Impact anniversary, players received a variety of rewards via mail, and could get involved with a bunch of different events in order to earn more goodies.

First Genshin Impact anniversary mail rewards

  • September 9, 2021: 400 primogems and the exclusive anniversary glider
  • October 1, 2021: 400 primogems, two fragile resin
  • October 2, 2021: 400 primogems, two fragile resin
  • October 3, 2021: 400 primogems, Resonant Melody furnishing

First Genshin Impact anniversary events

  • Moonlight Merriment – a Moonchase Festival event running from September 27 to October 11, 2021, in which you could earn primogems, mora, ascension materials, and the Luxurious Sea-Lord claymore
  • Passage of Clouds and Stars – a login event running from September 28, 2021, to the end of version 2.1, in which you could claim a total of ten intertwined fate, along with hero’s wit, enhancement ore, and mora
  • One Year Community Events – a group of web events in which you could earn primogems and more
