Tower of Fantasy Meryl

Who is Tower of Fantasy’s Meryl?

ToF’s Meryl is the senior executor for Hyrkos. Despite her delicate and elegant appearance, she excels in the most dangerous missions thanks to her outstanding combat and sword-fighting skills. Not unlike her weapon, she wears an ice shell to distance herself from others, hiding her emotions and keeping her feelings to herself. So it’s not just her appearance that reminds us of Disney’s Elsa – maybe she should learn to let it go.

Meryl is an SSR Simulacra. Her Rosy Edge claymore is a defence type weapon that deals ice damage.

What’s Tower of Fantasy Meryl banner?

Meryl is one of the SSR Simulacra currently available on all banners. This means that you can pull her on the standard Weapons Galore banners using black or gold nucleus, and you also have a chance of getting her on the limited banner if you don’t pull the featured weapon.

What’s the best Tower of Fantasy Meryl build?

Meryl’s Rosy Edge is a defence weapon, perfect for a tank build. It has high shatter value and can knock back enemies with its normal attacks alone, and both its skill and discharge skill are great for slicing through targets. Using her charged attack is a sure-fire way to destroy enemy shields, and makes you immune to CC throughout – just be mindful that’s it’s very stamina-intensive.

Her sword swings are wide and slow, which makes her a bit difficult to use in boss battles, but they also offer decent range and high impact damage. At her third star advancement, Meryl gains an ice shield, which further enhances her tank abilities.

Meryl is an amazing unit in PVP play, whose large, sweeping attacks strike fear into the hearts of opposing players. Her skill is brilliant for shield breaking and is very hard to dodge, and the large ice wall she erects through her discharge attack traps and slows her opponents, making it easy for you to switch to a DPS weapon and finish them off.

Below, we’ve listed all of the main stats for Meryl’s weapon, Rosy Edge. These are the weapon’s base stats before levelling it up or equipping it with any matrices.

What’s the best Tower of Fantasy Meryl matrix set?

As with other SR and SSR Simulacra, Meryl has her own matrix set which is tailored to her kit. Zero’s set is also a good choice for her, due to its increased shielding capacity. You can also use two of Zero’s set and two of Meryl’s set to reap the benefits of both two-piece buffs. However, both of these are SSR sets and can be tricky to get your hands on.

If you’re looking for an SR substitute, we recommend Barbarossa’s set, Double Nightmares. Or, for an easy-to-obtain R rank option to tide you over, you can go with Functional Dash for the base frost damage boost.

Here are all of the best Tower of Fantasy Meryl matrices. For more info, check out our Tower of Fantasy matrices guide.

What are the best Tower of Fantasy Meryl team comps?

Meryl is best suited to fortitude teams and synergises well with Huma. Between them, their shielding is near unbreakable, and, along with the fortitude weapon resonance buff, this comp ensures you and your team are ready to take on just about anything. For the third slot, we recommend filling it with a healer that can also deal DPS, like Tower of Fantasy’s Nemesis. Huma, Meryl, and Nemesis are a great choice for PVP due to their high defence and self-sustain.

Alternatively, you can pair Huma and Meryl up with Tower of Fantasy’s King, who further increases Meryl’s shield-breaking capabilities and offers high burst DPS.
