Pokémon Unite Tsareena abilities

Tsareena starts as Bounsweet, evolves into Steenee at level four, and finally into Tsareena at level six. Your highest priority when playing Tsareena is to make the most of the cooldown reduction and bonuses from its Queenly Majesty. To do this, you have to fill the blue metre above Tsareena’s head by using any abilities other than its Unite Move.

Pokémon Unite Tsareena’s passive ability

Move name Attack type Description
Oblivious (Bounsweet/Steenee) Passive When a hindrance is inflicted on Bounsweet/Steenee, the duration of its effects are decreased
Queenly Majesty (Tsareena) Passive When a hindrance is inflicted on the Tsareena, the duration of its effects are decreased. After using any combination of three boosted basic attacks or moves, the next boosted basic attack or move used will apply the Queenly Majesty buff effect to Tsareena (not including its Unite move)

Pokémon Unite Tsareena early game abilities

As Tsareena doesn’t fully evolve until level six, it’s important to focus on levelling in the early stages of the game. Jungling is a great idea to push her up to that power spike as fast as possible, but either way, try to stay safe and farm as much as possible in order to get her kicking her way to victory.

You’ll get your first ability for Tsareena at level one, then the next at level three. It doesn’t really matter which you choose first, so pick what you prefer. Razor Leaf has a decent range, so you can hang back easily, whereas Rapid Spin is a dash that gives you higher mobility.

Move name Attack type Cooldown  Description
Razor Leaf Ranged (physical) Five seconds Pelts leaves in a designated direction, dealing damage to opposing Pokémon. The critical-hit rate for Razor Leaf is higher than that of basic attacks
Rapid Spin Dash (physical) Eight seconds Spin in the designated direction, dealing damage to any opposing Pokémon it hits. Upon hitting an enemy, your movement speed is raised for a short time

At level five, you will have the option to choose between Stomp or Triple Axel. Generally, we recommend Triple Axel due to its attack speed bonus, allowing you to rain down some tasty, high DPS fury. However, Stomp sacrifices some DPS for good utility and crowd control when used in conjunction with Grassy Glide.

Move name Attack type Cooldown Description
Stomp Area Six seconds

Jump up high and attack opposing Pokémon with your feet. When this move hits, it deals damage to opposing Pokémon and leaves them unable to act for a short time

Queenly Majesty effect: Restores HP when this move hits

Triple Axel Dash Seven seconds

Spin-kick three times in the designated direction, dealing damage to opposing Pokémon. The damage dealt increases each time a kick hits, and basic attack speed is increased for a short time after this move ends by an amount based on the number of landed kicks

Queenly Majesty effect: Restores HP each time a kick hits

Level six is where Tsareena really starts to shine, with its final evolution and the development of its strong, combo-infused kit. Trop Kick is a good pick for closing the distance when hunting down fleeing opponents, or if you plan on initiating a lot of fights. However, we generally recommend Grassy Glide, as it combos well regardless of whether you chose Triple Axel or Stomp, due to its high mobility, attack, and stealth potential.

Move name Attack type Cooldown Description
Grassy Glide Dash 6.5 seconds

Slide in the designated direction, dealing damage to opposing Pokémon and decreasing their movement speed for a short time. This is followed by an attack in the opposite direction, which deals damage to and shoves opposing Pokémon.

Queenly Majesty effect: Grants a shield when this move is used

Trop Kick Dash Ten seconds

Perform a flying kick in the designated direction, dealing damage to opposing Pokémon it hits and decreasing their attack for a short time. Opposing Pokémon that make contact with the flying kick’s wake receive damage and have their movement speed decreased for a short time.

Queenly Majesty effect: Grants a shield when this move is used

Pokémon Unite Tsareena Unite Move

At level nine, Pokémon Unite Tsareena gets its Unite Move, Queen Ascendant. It’s a great ability that allows you to finish off enemies with a heavy blow, and ties in well to Tsareena’s combos.

Move name Attack type Cooldown Description
Queen Ascendant Sure Hit Percentage based Leap toward an opposing Pokémon and kick it high into the air, before showering it with a series of kicks while airborne. The moment Tsareena lands on the ground, it recovers HP. While airborne, the opposing Pokémon that is being kicked and Tsareena are not affected by other moves

Pokémon Unite Tsareena best held items

Pokémon Unite Tsareena can hold up to three items, and there’s plenty to choose from. We recommend giving it some strong durability and survivability items to allow it to dive foot-first into the fight. It also benefits from attack and crit items, which have the potential to turn it into a good, old-fashioned ADC.

Held Item Description
Buddy Barrier After using its Unite Move, Tsareena and the nearby ally Pokémon with the lowest HP are each granted a shield equal to (20/30/40)% of their max HP
Focus Band When Tsareena drops to low HP it recovers (8/11/14)% of the HP it has lost every second second for three seconds
Scope Lens Increases damage dealt by basic attack critical hits. The higher Tsareena’s attack is, the more the damage increases
Muscle Band When basic attacks hit, the damage is increased by 1%/2%/3% of the opposing Pokémon’s remaining HP
Razor Claw After Tsareena uses a move, its next basic attack deals a minimum of (10/15/20) damage and decreases the opponent’s movement speed for a short time. The higher Tsareena’s Attack, the more the damage increases
Weakness Policy Increases Tsareena’s attack for a short time by a minimum of (2/2.5/3)% when it receives damage. This increase grows larger the more times damage is received

Pokémon Unite Tsareena best battle items

You can only equip one battle item, so choose wisely! Here are our top picks, and why we think they are the best choices for Tsareena.

Item Description
Eject Button Move quickly in a chosen direction. Great for adding even more mobility to Tsareena’s kit, this item is great for hopping into the fray of battle – or getting your booty out of there
Fluffy Tail Prevents wild Pokémon from acting and increases their damage taken by 1.5 times. A good choice for those of you who want to use Tsareena in the jungle
X-Attack Increases Tsareena’s basic attack damage by 1.2 times, and move damage by 1.05-1.15 times for eight seconds. Naturally, more damage is always nice if you’re hoping to pull those high DPS numbers as Tsareena, and this item also works very well with Queenly Majesty

Is Pokémon Unite Tsareena good?

As with all characters in Pokémon Unite, whether Tsareena is good or not really depends on how you play it! It excels most in the jungle, but still does well in bottom and top lanes. Its strengths include early evolutions, plenty of survivability, great versatility, and the potential to disable its opponents. However, Tsareena is not quite as durable as other all-rounders, and struggles against crowd control mechanics.

Overall, Tsareena is a very strong champ, but isn’t the easiest to play, so you’ll likely need to get some practice in to become the best.

Who works well with Pokémon Unite Tsareena?

Tsareena works well with other Pokémon that improve its survivability, like:

It also pairs great with Pokémon Unite Lucario, as they can deal massive damage and crowd control together – truly a formidable duo!
