Tips for Genshin Impact Bantan Sango: The Warrior Dog event

How do I use the Genshin Impact Ubiquity net?

To capture the animals, you need to equip your ubiquity net in your gadget inventory, this temporarily replaces your elemental skill with the capture ability. Holding the elemental skill button allows you to aim, and releasing the button deploys the net. You can only use this gadget in Place of Interest: Hiding Spot challenge areas.

Animal Hiding Spot challenge tips

The first phase has you rescuing small animals from hiding spots around Tatarasuna in Inazuma. The area has three animals to rescue, but is patrolled by Canine Bunshin warrior dogs. Luckily, you’ve not only got your ubiquity net handy, but there’s also a bunch of fireworks and smoke machines dotted around which can be used to your advantage.

The mechanisms in the area can be activated by attacking them. Therefore, it’s a good idea to bring a ranged character (i.e. a bow wielder like Genshin Impact’s Amber, Genshin Impact’s Childe, Genshin Impact’s Aloy, Genshin Impact’s Venti etc) to activate them from afar, allowing you maximum sneakiness.

You can use smoke machines and fireworks to distract the Canine Bunshin and move by undetected. You can also use thunder spheres from the thunder sakura bough near Ryuuji to get close to the animals. If you’re in danger of getting caught by a Canine Bunshin, don’t panic – just hit them with your net. You may not be able to catch the troublesome little pups, but you will stun them for a moment allowing you to make a swift escape.

Den of Thieves tips

In the Den of Thieves, the second part of the first phase, you’ll go head-to-head with some tough customers:

  • One Pugilist Treasure Hoarder
  • One Crusher Treasure Hoarder
  • One Seaman Treasure Hoarder
  • Two Nobushi: Jintouban
  • One Kairagi: Fiery Might

So you’ll want to bring a strong team with you. It’s a good idea to bring someone with a strong shield like Genshin Impact’s Zhongli or Genshin Impact’s Noelle to protect you from the heavy-hitting Nobushi and Kairagi.

Also, if you’ve not completed the Orobashi’s Legacy questline, there will still be a constant storm on Yashiori Island, meaning a cryo champ like Genshin Impact’s Kaeya can dish out some great freezes to reduce your damage taken – or you could whip out a hydro character like Genshin Impact’s Mona, Genshin Impact’s Childe, or Genshin Impact’s Barbara to line up some nice elemental combos. Either way, pick a group you’re happy fighting with, and let it rip.

Can I play Bantan Sango Case Files: The Warrior Dog in co-op mode?

Unfortunately, you can’t play the event quests, hiding spot challenges, or den of thieves challenges in co-op mode. If a friend joins, the event stages will be temporarily paused. You can, however, play the Canine Path challenge in co-op.

Genshin Impact Traveller using the omni-ubiquity net

Genshin Impact Omni-Ubiquity net

In the Genshin Impact 2.3 livestream, Mihoyo revealed that, though the ubiquity net would be leaving, the fresh Omni-Ubiquity net would remain. After the event is over, you can complete the Omni-Ubiquity Net world quest to unlock a permanent version of the gadget, which you can then purchase from Wakamurasaki. This will allow you to capture small animals out in the wild and create copies of them to keep in your Serenitea Pot.
